A members' club, run by its members — officers are elected each year at the AGM.

Chair
Leads the committee and represents the club in the village and the league.
Secretary
Keeps the records, calls meetings and handles club correspondence.
Treasurer
Looks after subscriptions, accounts and the court maintenance fund.
Other committee members
Elected members and co-opted helpers covering coaching, socials, teams and court maintenance.
Alongside the officers, the committee includes ordinary members elected from the membership, plus co-opted helpers for coaching, socials and court maintenance.
How the club is run
A members' club, run by its members
The Urchfont Tennis Club is a non-profit members' club, constituted in 1970. It is managed by an elected committee of four to eight members — including a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer — confirmed each year at the Annual General Meeting, held between March and April.
All monies raised are used to maintain and improve the club's facilities for the benefit of its members. No surplus is ever distributed to individuals — that's written into our constitution.
